THIS
ISSUE: Who Are You Hanging With?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My trip to Lima, OH was terrific. I had such a good
time I'm going back again this Friday! Why?
I have a policy that when the owner of a 10 million
dollar business wants to work with ME on a project
(not me and 5 or 10 others...ME!) then I will gladly
spend a couple hours on a plane to work with them.
I was reminded of the importance of this kind of
association in an article written by one of my
affiliates, Jim Cockrum of
'Silent
Sales Machine' entitled
'Who you hang with determines your success or failure'
Jim says...'everything from your bank account balance,
your beliefs, your politics, your attitude, your bad
habits and good habits are all dramatically impacted by
the crowd you chose to run with.
In other words, 'change your crowd change your life'.
Who are YOU running with?
Congratulations to Michael Angier for winning the
drawing to attend the Underground Marketing Seminar
later this month.
Thanks to all who entered by donating at least $10 to
their favorite charity. We raised $690 for charity.
Carolyn Allen and Lori Kimbrough were 2nd and 3rd
runners-up, so in the event that Michael cannot
attend or gets caught in a compromising position
with Britney Spears or Lindsay Lohan, they will
have the opportunity to go.
Yesterday was my annual medical checkup. Actually
it had been about 15 months, but who's counting?
When the receptionist found out I was self-employed
she naturally asked what I did. She mentioned that the
few times she had been d ebt-free in life, she felt
uncomfortable and ended up going back into d ebt.
That was a new one on me but worth of further study
I suppose.
According to this scales in the doctor's office I weigh
194 pounds. During my last visit I weighed 186.
I would like to weigh 185...my weight in high school.
I used to have the habit of weighing myself every Friday morning.
Then I discovered my digital scale was very erratic. I could
stand on it at three different times within a minute and get three
different numbers, so I quit using it and the result is eight extra
pounds.
This is actually a great metaphor for your d ebt.
I was consistently under 190 pounds when I was keeping track.
But when I took my eye off the scale, I gained weight.
The same can happen to anyone who does not or is afraid to
monitor their (decreasing) d ebt situation. This isn't
something
to obsess over but monitoring your d ebtload on a regular
basis will help you avoid more d ebt.
You've got a plan to decrease your d ebt right?
In the book '
Success
Made Easy' author Ron Martin says 'scorecards
make success easy'. He says to keep your goals VISIBLE and
he calls his chart 'the boss'.
I developed a chart for you to use called 'The Supervisor'
There is a blank one for you to use at:
http://www.LeoQuinn.com/Supervisor.pdf
There is a weight loss sample so you can see how they are used at:
http://www.LeoQuinn.com/SupervisorSample.pdf
Use these charts to track savings, spending, weight, d ebt elimination,
piano practice or any goal you may have. Print up as
many as you need.
As for my own goal of getting to 185 I'm going simply go back
to what got me from 208 to 186 in the first place...keeping
track of what I eat and regular exercise.
I'll also be using the ideas in 'Real People Don't Diet'
http://www.realpeopledontdiet.com/leo.html
by my friend Cate. As further motivation I'll be posting
my weekly weight HERE for you to watch.
Public humiliation is a BIG motivator...can you use
that fact to achieve your goals faster?
That's it for today. I hope you found something
useful.
Make it a great day!
If I can answer any questions for you, please drop me an email at
Leo AT LeoQuinn.com and if I don't know the answer I can point you
in the right direction.
Sincerely,
Leo

P.S. Leo- Thanks for the link to Emergency Cash Generators!
I don't usually fall for such things, since most
of them are rip-offs, but I took a chance on this
one because the link came from you. And I love it!
The ideas are original and clever. There's an idea
there for just about anyone -- extravert or
introvert -- and it's triggered so many additional
ideas of my own! LuAnn. Check it out at:
