I awoke yesterday to an email from loyal reader Ann congratulating me
for my
interview that was running on the local newschannel.

Yahoo doesn't like me. If you use Yahoo for email and you

I got several good IDEAS last week when I offered $50 to the first 5
people
who write to me with their story of taking at least $50 and multiplying
it.
Ryan went right to it...
'I am emailing to tell you about how you motivated me this morning. I
read your
email and went straight to it. We have a cafeteria here at
work, so I asked several
people if they were interested in a charity pancake breakfast and they
said yes. It cost me
$43 to feed the group and they just had to make a donation
from the heart.
I raised $127! I am going to donate the money to buy toys for
the Marine Toys for
Tots Foundation.'

You may have seen an article in your local paper yesterday about
happiness. It was
syndicated around the U.S.
If you want to read the article go to any search engine and search for
'Researchers
Seek Routes to Happier Life', you'll find it.
In the article a motivational speaker was interviewed about asimple
experiment
she was given as part of a master's degree program.
Every night, she was to think of three good things that happened that
day and analyze
why they occurred. That was supposed to increase her overall happiness.
As a Harvard grad, she was skeptical that such a simple experiment
would work.
It did.
'The quality of my dreams has changed, I never have trouble falling
asleep and
I do feel happier,' she said.
I tried it for the first time last night and I did remember a dream for
the first time in
a long time.
BUT just as I was about to spring from my hiding place to subdue the
bad guy my alarm
sounded. Dang.
Oh well, it WAS an enjoyable experiment to focus on the positive as I
drifted off to sleep.
And what may you ask does any of this have to do with getting
out of debt?
Absolutely nothing.
My job is NOT to keep you focused on that four letter word but rather
to keep you
focused on ideas of positivity and creativity.
Post this somewhere you'll see it all the time...
WHAT YOU FOCUS ON EXPANDS.
Focus on debt...get more debt
Focus on creativity...get more ideas
Focus on improving your 'MoneyTude'...watch your debts decrease and your
nest egg grow!
Sound simplistic? Maybe it is but give it a try and I think
you'll be very surprised.
