In my local paper last week was an
example of a GREAT 'MoneyTude' in
action from of all places, a church!
(stay with me...this is very good
for YOU!)

A local Church handed out $40,000 the
previous Sunday in $50 increments.

The Pastor called it a 'reverse offering'. 
'The goal is to have worshippers find ways
to multiply the money for an investment in a
new location...'  'Worshippers will present
their ideas and returns the following
weekend...'

It's really no wonder this church is on the
list of 100 fastest growing in the U.S.

According to an article this week we won't
find out how this idea worked out until
early December but I predict big things.

Why?



The pastor is NOT lecturing (whining)
about a shortage of money or begging
for increased donations which can tend
to irritate, depress or drive away the
worshippers.

Instead, these folks left the services
energized and excited   I'll bet it was
all they could talk about to whomever
they spoke to for days.

One lady is selling her car and giving
the entire proceeds ($4-$5K) to the
church.  Other projects include bake
sales, raffles and a babysitting fundraiser. 
One teenager camped outside a store for
the latest PlayStation 3 and was planning
to sell it and give the proceeds to the
church.

Sure, some will just match the $50
with an extra $50 of their own and be done
with it.

But most of the people are now THINKING
creatively.  They are focused on making
extra money for a 'higher good.' 

What does all this mean for you?

Why not do the same thing?

Take $50 or $100 and figure out what
you could do to increase it.

Instead of focusing on your pile of
bills focus on growing your pile
of savings.

Get your family involved and make it
fun!

It's the holiday time so commit to
donate all or part of your proceeds
to a worthy cause if that feels good
to you.

The point is by changing your THINKING
you will change your life.  By asking
better QUESTIONS you'll get better
answers.

In the long and short run, asking questions
like 'how can I grow this money?' will
serve you far better than 'what can
I buy with this money?'

The first 5 people who write to me
with their story of taking at least $50 and
multiplying it will get $50 more from me.

To qualify for the prize this has to
be a new story from a project you started
because of this email.

It can't be something that happened last
week or last month or last year although
I'd love to hear those stories too.

Go!

Meanwhile, in the United States this week,
Thursday is Thanksgiving Day.  I want to
take this opportunity to wish you a very
happy Thanksgiving.
