Well, it's almost as if I predicted it.

In my Saturday memo I closed by saying this
about my niece and nephew's soccer games...

'It's been a very interesting season. 
They've both scored goals for their
own teams AND at least one each for
the OTHER team.'

Sure enough, at the buzzer, during the
last game of the season, who knows how
long till the next game, my nephew
kicked the ball into the net.  It was
the wrong net, but he didn't seem to
mind.

His team still won which is really the
important part, at least to the uncle
who grew up in a time when they actually
kept score in youth games.

But I digress...

Are you out of debt yet?

OK...right back on-topic. 

For at least a month now the masthead of
this newsletter has included the line:

'Helping You Improve Your MONEYTUDE!!'

Granted probably not many notice and
instead get right into the newsletter but
not one person has asked me 'what is my
'MoneyTude'?'

By my definition 'MoneyTude' is 'your
attitude about money'

Frankly, most people have a POOR
'MoneyTude'

You'd recognize them (you?) by their
words...

'I'm always broke'
'I never have any money'
'I just don't have the money'
'We do not have any money to spare or risk!!!'
'We are so tight financially'
'Because I'm broke'

You get the idea.  I could go on for days.
We could all add hundreds of phrases
we hear or have used.

I didn't come up with those on my own. 
Those came directly to me from people
who did not make the investment in my
'How To Own Your Paycheck Again!'
program.

This seemingly universal 'poor MoneyTude'
is the main reason this newsletter is NOT
heavy on the numbers...the 401K/IRA...
the Prime Rate...debt to equity ratios...
ratios of any kind!  What's a ratio?

There are people much smarter than I
covering those topics.

This seemingly universal 'poor MoneyTude'
is the main reason this newsletter
attempts to help you 'improve your MoneyTude'
with helpful and inspirational articles and
ideas for making MORE money.



Which reminds me of another we can add to
our list...

If you resent sales messages or advertisements
and the people who deliver them you
have a poor MoneyTude and you'll have a very
hard time making and keeping money.

If you've read this far you probably don't fall
into that category but it's something to be
aware of.

NOTHING happens in this world until something is
sold.  You get paid at your job because SOMEONE
'bought' something.

You may not be able to see that but it's true.

If you work for the government, you get paid
because taxpayers have been sold on the fact
they need to pay taxes.

So, don't resent ads or sales messages. Ignore
them, delete them, unsubscribe from their source
if they don't appeal to you but be grateful
that people are out there keeping the economy
going.  They pay your salary! They really do.

>From this day forward... declare loud and proud:
'I'VE GOT A NEW MONEYTUDE!!'
and mean it!
