The trip to Baltimore was great. The trip started out so well, I
was chuckling the whole time. I breezed through security...had a
seat between me and my seat-mate on the plane...smooth flying...47
minutes 40 seconds...no bumps. My luggage was the FIRST one off
the
luggage carousel. THAT has never happened.
As I approached the bus to take me to the car rental place I
noticed it was almost full and the driver was reading the paper. I
got on and we left. No waiting at the car rental counter, either.
My hotel room? First floor...not too far from the conference room,
restaurant and pool.
I'm sure more than one reader is waiting for the 'BUT'...but there is
no 'but'. No catastrophe to even out the good. It was all
good
and I simply kept being grateful and expecting more...eager to see
what good was going to happen next.
At the seminar I met some amazing people and got some great ideas.
Without fail, every time I attend a seminar or read a book I get at
least one good idea that will improve my life and in some cases
yours too.
For instance, I was reminded what a wealth of information I have in
YOU...my subscriber. Every day you do smart things that millions
of
other people don't do or don't know to do. One simple idea, tip or
strategy you use in your daily life could change the lives of
countless people around the world.
I only took one book with me on this trip and I finished it the
night I arrived. The book is entitled 'The Monk Who Sold His
Ferrari - A fable about fulfilling your dreams and reaching your
destiny' by Robin S. Sharma
I ALWAYS have one or two books like this going because I've found
that the more I read books like it the more my life unfolds like my
trip.
I particularly liked this quote... 'All the mistakes you will ever
make in your life have already been made by those who have walked
before you. Do you really think that the challenges you are facing
are unique to you?...Most importantly, the answers and solutions
are all recorded on the pages of books. Read the right books.
Learn how those who have preceded you have handled the challenges
you are currently facing. Apply their strategies for success and
you will be astonished by the improvements you will note in your
life.'
