THIS ISSUE: Mystery shopping for extra money and the best
to get started
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hello!
Thanks for reading.
I've been suggesting mystery shopping as an extra income source for
you since last Summer. It's the most reliable way I've found to
make extra money without a second job...so far.
If you haven't read my story of how I made $145 in my first three
DAYS as a mystery shopper, check it out by going to
http://www.LeoQuinn.com/shop.html
In the last three weeks I have discovered some exciting new things
about "shopping"...
1. You can make $350 for one job!
I didn't get that one, darn it, but I made it to the final four. I
would have had to attend a three day seminar but the people who
paid to go there are paying $2,000+. As a mystery shopper I would
have made $350 and gone for free! Next time!
I had done a job for this company before and that is how I found
out about this one. Next Thursday I'm meeting a cousin down in NYC
and I could make $80 to attend a three hour seminar for this company
while I'm down there.
2. A couple weeks ago a mystery shopping company called ME to see
if I could go to JC Penney and shop the eye center there
again....something I did about 6 months ago. That was the first
CALL I'd ever gotten.
3. Depending on where you live there is a supermarket chain that
will fly you to the corporate headquarters for two
days of training. You can become a regular mystery shopper for
them....with a regular schedule.
One of the frustrating parts of this biz is that you have to be
assigned a job. You see it posted...express an interest and then
wait to hear if you get it.
Three weeks ago my buddy Dan in TX told me about a mystery
shopping company that allows you to schedule yourself. You see a
job...seeing it means it is very likely still available...click to
see the requirements and how much you'll make. You want
it?...click and you've got the job.
This was the first I had ever heard of this type great deal.
Shortly after that I got a very nice email from one of my long-time
subscribers, Angela Smith, who coincidentally runs a website
devoted to mystery shopping. She invited me to take a look and I
was astounded.
I've had access to a few of these type sites and it's the best I've
seen.
Angela's site includes:
-Reviews of mystery shopping companies (big time saver for you)
-Links to hundreds of mystery shopping and survey sites
*Including 34 that allow you to self schedule!
-Helpful articles on how to be a better shopper/survey taker
As far as I can tell her site offers you more than any
other mystery shopping resource.
Other resources offer a list of secret shopping
companies but not much more. MoneyandShopping.com offers much more
such as:
* Free, monthly teleconferences for training and
networking
* Ongoing shopper training
* Detailed descriptions of the best shopping job
resources with
links directly to the application forms.
Reviews by experienced
shoppers are also included.
* Fresh, not recycled job listings - many with
advanced or
exclusive notice
* A special reminder program to help shoppers manage
jobs
One thing you won't get from her site is hype. Angela
is a real person who really does secret shopping...and answers her
email promptly. She knows what shoppers want and she
supplies that
and more to members.
Thanks so much for reading.
Have a great weekend!
P.S. Again, you won't get rich doing this but if you are looking
to supplement your income, this is a great way to do it. Most jobs
pay in the $10-20 range...some less...some much more. Stick with
it and you'll start to get calls for jobs like I did. The longer
you stick, the more you could make.
P.P.S. Something new in mystery shopping is where you wear a video
camera...just like those hidden camera TV shows. Want to be a spy?
This is probably as close as you'll get!
P.S. Need some fast cas*h? Look in your closet! I know
right now
I'm sitting on at least $ 2000 worth of stuff I could sell on eBay.
If you know "how to" eBay, get started. If not here is a
great resource I've found...
"Thanks for the link to Emergency Cas*h Generators! I don't
usually
fall for such things, since most of them are rip-offs, but I
took a chance on this one because the link came from you. And I
love it!
The ideas are original and clever. There's an idea there for just
about
anyone -- extravert or introvert -- and it's triggered so many
additional
ideas of my own!" LuAnn
