Hello!

Has Spring sprung yet where you are?  Not here in Upstate, NY.

The purpose of this issue will be to make you think. 

It's a collection of short random sentences that have made me think
lately. 

On Wednesday or Thurday you'll hear from me again with some
exciting developments I've just discovered in mystery shopping.
One of them solves the biggest problem I've found with being a
shopper.  Watch for it if you already do mystery shopping or have
been considering it as a way to make some extra money.  These
developments will make it a whole lot easier.



So get your thinking cap on...

* The average American is "richer" at age 18 than they are at age
65.  Where do you stand now? Bear in mind that an 18 year old who
earns $8 an hour and has no debt is in fact RICHER (in net worth)
than anyone who has debt.

* Your income is the average of your five closest friends.  Not
sure where this came from but interesting to think about.  Need new
friends?

* I went to a seminar put on by a financial planner who advocates
having a mortgage and investing that money.  He anticipated people
would talk to their friends and family about this and get negative
feedback.  His answer to this was VERY thought provoking...

We tend to associate with people in the same "box" we are in.
Similar age kids, incomes, backgrounds, and interests for example.
The instructions to get out of this "box" are posted on the outside
of the box where we can't read them!  To get out we really need the
help of people who have already made it out.  Because they are
outside our "box", they can read us the instructions...get it?
Don't seek guidance from someone who hasn't done what you want to
do.

* "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" author Robert Kiyosaki says the rich got
rich in their spare time.  Meaning if they didn't inherit it or win
the lottery, they used their spare time to educate themselves about
different ways to insure their financial future.  So, even if you
don't want to be "rich", how do you use your spare time?  What have
you learned in the last 30 days that would improve your life?  What
have you done with this new info?

* Did you hear the story of the VERY sharp lottery winner?  Before
he told anyone he had won millions of dollars he called 50 friends,
family, co-workers and neighbors.  He told them he was having some
financial problems and needed to borrow $1,000.  Two of the 50 said
yes.  When it was announced he was the winner, he got very few
calls begging for money from friends, family, co-workers and
neighbors.  His point was made.

**HINT** Tell this story to your friends, family, co-workers and
neighbors.  The next time you need to borrow money, I'll bet they
say yes!

*Use coupons?  What do you do with the savings?  Put it in your
piggy bank and at the end of the month use that money to pay down
some bills.
