Yesterday someone threw out two sets of bookshelves. They were made out of presswood. The base of
presswood furniture gets destroyed over time due to the weight and due to moisture...The bases of these
shelves were similarly destroyed. But there was a simple solution--flip them over to make the top the
bottom. I took the shelves, flipped them and power-sawed off what had been the bottom to make them more
aesthetic. We now have two very functional bookshelves. This saved us $100 or more to buy similar
shelves new.
Friday my mother received a refund check from her insurance company
because they covered a cost
that originally they were not going to cover--Refund total $230.
Saturday while picking up
my lotto tickets I won $50 and $10 on a
scratch-off I had gotten earlier!

I just received a check for $92.81 that was totally unexpected!

We received notification of the balance of an investment account made for us back in December:
$11,089.58. I also found an antique quarter in my garden yesterday.

I'm always filling out these class action lawsuit forms. I seem to get two

three a year.
Well, last week I got a check for $179!
it's my share of the results of a suit against a credit
card company I had a card with 11 years ago!
