I refinanced a loan at the end of July. Today I received a check for overpayment of $302.
I am a hair designer and am fortunate to have a wonderful clientele
whose gratuities I usually put into a pocket. Today I decided to
wear a pair of jeans that I had not worn during this hot California
summer. To my surprise I found in my right pocket a small bundle
of cash. Twenties, tens, fives and singles that totaled $143.
Not a bad way to start the day!

Last week I received a check for $20 for being a contestant in a Secret Word puzzle.

Yesterday I received a rebate check for $5 from our mortgage company for some sort of admin
error that they made, also found $5 in a pair of slacks that were on their way to the cleaners
and found a penny on the ground.

I used to put the money from my wallet left over at the end of the week
in an envelope.
Recently, I had had no money left over at the end of several
weeks. Just by chance, I
checked the envelope this morning as I needed money for
groceries. I found two $20 bills!
