My Las Vegas Adventure....

Started a couple hours after I arrived...

For at least a decade I have wanted to fly in a vertical wind-tunnel.

Essentially this is a silo with a propeller at the base blowing 130 mph winds at you.

Does this outfit make me look fat?

If you don't recognize me, I'm the one with the stylish blue helmet.   The suit balloons as soon as the wind hits it.

Inexperienced flyers like me need assistance to keep from hitting the well-padded walls.  In this picture
I'm a 200 190 pound balloon.   Six minutes isn't enough time to get good so I may need to get one of my own!

Experienced flyers can get up 15 or 20 feet in the air.   Lots of fun.

While waiting to pick friends up at the airport I noticed a big sign that said...

SHOOT A MACHINE GUN!

I never had and that sounded like fun.

The range looks like this...

No, that is not me.

50 rounds of a 9MM machine gun look like this on the target...

As you can see I had only three shots outside the center of the target.  Now what was that you were saying about a refund?  :>)

Saturday night it was roller coaster night.

Believe it or not they have 3 big rides at the top of the Stratosphere tower...

A nighttime view from up high...

The roller coaster was closed so I chose to ride the XScream.

This is an artists drawing of the ride...

You get strapped in, lifted and then DROPPED 35 feet over the side of the tower 800+ feet in the air.

And here is a picture of me in the ride...

I thought for sure I had my eyes open when the flash came but I guess not.   Sadly the person sitting next to me fell out!

Next it was on to the roller coaster at the New York New York casino.

No picture of me on this one but it was great fun!
